How to Top-up

As you'd expect, topping up your mobile phone is simple and you can top-up your Talkmobile account in the following ways:

Customer Services

By calling Customer Services on 5888 and topping up using a Credit or Debit card. When you register your card, you'll be asked to set up a top-up PIN. You'll need to enter this when topping up through Customer Services or from the SIM menu. If you registered your personal details when you bought your SIM or handset, you will also be asked to give your Customer Service PIN number which is set as the first two digits of your postcode and the last two digits of your phone number.

 

Carphone Warehouse Stores

You can visit any of 800 Carphone Warehouse stores nationwide and use cash, a debit/credit card or a Talkmobile Swipe Card to top-up.

 

Voucher

By Voucher which is available to buy at participating stores where you see these signs:

Once you buy a Talkmobile voucher you then need to activate it by calling Customer Services on 5888 from your mobile phone.

 

Swipe Cards

A Swipe Card (which is included on the back of this pack) can be used when you top-up at participating stores showing the signs below or at any Carphone Warehouse store.

The first time you use your Swipe Card, you need to link it to your Talkmobile account by calling 5888. The next time you top-up and
use your swipe card the credit is immediately added to your account. Don't forget you can link more than one swipe card to your Talkmobile account, which is great news as other people can top you up if they are feeling generous!

 

From your phone

To top-up using the Talkmobile SIM menu you fi rst need to register your debit or credit card with Customer Services, if you have not already done this. When you do, you'll be asked to choose a Top-up PIN that you'll need to enter when topping up using the Talkmobile SIM Menu. Please note this Top-up PIN may be different from your Customer Services Security PIN.

 

Account credit

 

Checking the credit balance of your mobile phone is really easy. You can check your balance in the following ways:


• By calling Customer Services on 5888


• Dialling *#1345# from the handset and your balance will then appear on your phone's screen


• Or through the Talkmobile SIM menu under ‘Talkmobile'

 

When you're running low on credit, you'll hear a low balance prompt at the start of any outbound call. If your balance runs out completely, you'll no longer be able to make chargeable calls, although you will be able to ring the automated part of Customer Services. You'll also be able to receive calls, texts and picture messages.
